Head On Photo Awards is Australia’s premier photographic competition and one of the most prestigious competition’s in the world, showcasing innovative Australian and international photography, reflecting a diverse cross-section of new and traditional photographic practices.
A panel of internationally esteem judges select work without knowing the photographers’ names ensuring a focus on the quality and impact of the image rather than the celebrity of the photographer or subject.
Prizes
Prize pool worth $60,000 in cash and products from major industry players - a complete list of prizes is available on the website.
Venue:
Finalists will be exhibited at Festival Hubs (Portrait, Mobile, Student) and the NSW Parliament (Landscape) as part of the Head On Photo Festival in May 2018 and selected work will tour internationally. Head On manages and pays for all the exhibition costs.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded for the best 3 images in each category and the exhibition prints of these will be retained by Head On Foundation and added to the “Head On Collection” which contains the winners of Head On Photo Awards.
Winners will share a prize pool worth $60,000 - a complete list of prizes is available on the website.
The allocation of prizes will be as determined by the judges and no correspondence will be entered into.
