“SAHYOG – The Helping Hand”, presents a Photo Contest on Independence Day 2016 for all who love to capture stories through lenses. Embrace your love of photography, whether you see yourself as an Amateur, Hobbyist or Professional, it’s the day to show off what you can do. The date of competition will be 8th Aug – 15th Aug, 2016.

Submission last date:
You have to submit your entries latest by 5:00 PM, 7th Aug 2016.

Prizes:
Winner will get an exciting gift hamper from SAHYOG and will be decided based on the number of likes and shares and Judges’ decision.

This is a competition to understand the meaning of FREEDOM from a number of different point of views. Photography has the ability to tell stories and inspire people and with the dawn of digital photography we can share memories across the world in seconds with the use of online galleries. Photography has changed the way we see the world and gives you the ability to share your perception on the world around you, so why not share it

COMPETITION RULES:
1. The contest is open to entrants of all skill levels.
2. Photo contest staff and judges are not allowed to enter the contest.
3. Each individual can only win one prize or prize package.
4. Winners will be announced on 15th Aug 2016 through our Facebook page, on the occasion of the marking of 2016 Independence Day.
5. There is no entry fee for the contest.
6. Photographs clicked after 1st January 2013 shall be eligible to participate.
7. Submission only via our FB page and do not forget to use the hash tag #DoYourSAHYOG
8. All decisions and results announced by the jury of this completion are final.
9. Prizes cannot be convert into cash.
10. Pictures must belong to the participant and winners must be willing to send them for verification.
11. All photographs and material submitted to this competition must be your own and should not be copied from anywhere else.
12. This competition is open for all photographers from all over India.
13. You should not post any photograph that do not comply to our Terms and Conditions.
14. We have the right to remove any entry we deem not suitable for the competition or is not following Terms and Conditions.
15. By entering this Contest, the participant grants SAHYOG the right to publish the Photograph on any or all of SAHYOG’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, owned websites, promotional materials and the likes, online or otherwise without any further remuneration and any further reference or notice to the Participant.
16. The Participant acknowledges that his/her name will appear along with the photograph.
17. Awards. There will be 1 award in total and will be decided based on the criteria as mentioned above.

Photographers retain all copyrights to their images. The organizers of Photo Contest retain the right to publish the contest entries in any format to congratulate or feature the winners and their respective images, and to promote future Photography events. Winning images can be included in a press release for third party websites and publications in the context of congratulating and/or featuring the winners and winning images, and to promote the events.

Note on photo manipulation:
Post processing of images is allowed. This includes global adjustments to exposure, contrast, burning, dodging, cropping, sharpening, noise reduction, and tone. Minor cleaning of images is permitted, including the removal of backscatter, dust and scratches. HDR, panoramas, focus stacking or other techniques that involve using multiple images taken at the same time and place are also allowed. Adding, removing or moving animals, people, plants or other objects is not allowed. For example, moving a fish, removing a reef element or adding a glow to a torch is not acceptable. While digital manipulation is permitted, please keep in mind this not a Photoshop competition.

All images should accurately represent the subject matter and nature. Images that appear to be overly processed may be disqualified at the judges’ discretion.
