Following the success of our previous contests we have now enlisted the support of six sponsors, resulting in a greatly increased bundle of prizes. The theme of this contest is "Deserted Places." Whilst this is open to interpretation we would particularly like to see images of urban or rural decay such as disused buildings, derelict sites, abandoned cemeteries, ancient ruins, "haunted houses" and so on. Get snapping but don't have nightmares!
Prizes:
First Prize: £2000 cash, free copy of ON1 Photo Raw 2017, 12 months Skillshare Scholarship, £60 Bob Books voucher.
Second Prize: £200 cash, free copy of ON1 Photo Raw 2017, free Topaz software add-ons and a free Flothemes web theme.
Third Prize: £100 cash, $50 Rooky Nook gift card.
In addition all top ten winners will be displayed on the Alverton Gallery's website and social media.
Eligibility:
Amateur or professional, over 18, worldwide except where prohibited by law.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
All photos submitted must be the original work of the entrant who must be the copyright holder. The entrant is responsible for ensuring that all permissions and releases have been obtained in respect of any image submitted. On this basis the entrant will at all times retain copyright to his/her work. By submitting to our competition an entrant acknowledges that, should an image be awarded a place in our top ten winners' list, the entrant grants us the right to reproduce the image by way of physical print for display at the Alverton Gallery, Penzance, and by way of digital imagery for display on the Alverton Gallery's website and social media. At all times the entrant will be credited as the photographer and copyright holder.
