Maine Media Workshops + College is pleased to present our Annual Photo and Video contest, sponsored by B&H Photo Video. At MMW+C, we believe in the power of stories to change the way people think about the world. We teach and inspire storytellers of all ages and walks of life, encouraging and fostering the use of everything from historical processes to cutting-edge technology in order to communicate narratives. We are excited to partner with B&H, the source of for all things digital and manual in the image making community, to bring you this contest. Together, we are excited to see the stories you want to tell and what they will say about our world.

Prizes:

Grand Prize Photography (1): one Canon 5d Mark III camera +one Canon 24-70 lens + one Canon Pro 100 printer + Free tuition to a one-week Maine Media workshop (maximum value of $1,600; good for workshops offered in Rockport, Maine only; must be used within 24 months)

Grand Prize Video (1): one Sony a7s camera with a 24-70 f4 lens + Free tuition to a one-week Maine Media workshop (maximum value of $1,600; good for workshops offered in Rockport, Maine only; must be used within 24 months)

Category 1st Place Winner (11): $200 gift certificate to B&H Photo Video
Category Runner Up (11): $100 gift certificate to B&H Photo Video

Copyrights & Usage Rights:

Entry Ownership/Entrant Agreements. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph. Entrants retain full ownership and copyrights to their submission(s). However, by entering the Contest, entrants grant Sponsors a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, worldwide, limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and translate such submission, in any media formats through any media channels. Entrants also agree: (a) to be bound by these Official Rules; (b) that any claims related to this Contest shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action and that awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in entering the Contest, and shall not include incidental or consequential damages or attorneys fees; and (c) that any actual or perceived ambiguities in these Rules shall be interpreted by Sponsors in their sole discretion.

Previously published material for which non-exclusive rights were granted may be entered as long as you still maintain the right to grant Maine Media Workshops a license.
