Australia's largest photo competition for amateur photographers is back for 2016, with more than $34,000 of cash and prizes up for grabs. It's open now until 15 November.
We want to seek out and celebrate the very best work by Australia and New Zealand's amateur photographers. There are six portfolio categories to enter and for 2016 a new single-image category, Photo of the Year.
Prizes:
Overall winner: Panasonic Lumix GX85 and 14-140mm lens kit valued at $1,699, plus $3000 prize money ($2000 for overall winner + $1000 for category winner).
Photo of the Year: DJI OSMO handheld 4k camera and 3-axis gimbal valued at $979, plus $1000 prize money.
Landscape category winner: EIZO Coloredge CG2420 monitor valued at $2,695, plus $1000 prize money.
Nature category winner: WD storage package, comprised of a My Passport wireless 2tb drive, a My Passport Ultra 3tb and a My Cloud EX2 Ultra, valued at $1,237, plus $1,000 prize money.
Travel category winner: A world photo tours travel tour prize valued at $15,000 plus $1,000 prize money.
Portrait category winner: $1,000 Camera House voucher, plus $1,000 prize money. Runner up: $300 prize money.
Black and white winner: $1,000 Momento voucher, plus $1,000 prize money. Runner up: $300 prize money.
Junior winner: Go Pro Hero 4 camera and a short course at CATC, with a combined value of $1000. Runner up: $100 prize money.

The entrant must be the creator of any images he/she enters into the competition. The entrant must be the copyright owner of any images he/she enters into the competition.
Each photographer retains copyright of his or her images, and proper credit lines will be attributed to each photographer when used in any publicity of Australian Photography. The entrant authorises Australian Photography magazine to display, print, and distribute in any manner any photographs entered in this competition to conduct and promote the competition.
