31st International Wildbird Photo Competition

Since 1991, the Bay of Somme, an internationally recognized migratory site, has celebrated the return of spring and birds on the occasion of the Bird and Nature Festival. For over 30 years, it has remained an unmissable event for nature lovers, notably with its many outings, its photo competition is now one of the 10 most renowned in Europe.
The Festival invites once again amateur and professional photographers to participate in this success! The objective is to use photography as an educational and artistic medium to promote knowledge of birds and thus promote commitment to their protection.
The competition will give rise to an exhibition presented at Le Crotoy during the 31st edition, which will be held from April 9 to 18, 2022. Each participant may present a maximum of 10 photographs. Registration fee: €2 / photo (free for the Young Talent category, reserved for 15-17 year olds)

– Bird portrait
– Bursting colours
– Bird in action
– Birds social relationships
– Artistic vision of bird
– Young talent (for 15-17 years-old)
• Grand Prix: 1,500 €
• 1st prize in each category: 800 €
• 1st prize in the category «Young Photographers»: 500 €
• Public prize: 500 €
This online competition is open to everybody, amateur and professional photographers, of whatever nationality. The Festival’s team and the jury members are not allowed to join in.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
The author of a selected or a winning photograph grants to the Bird and Nature Festival, the right to reproduce and diffuse said photograph within the framework of the competition exhibition and the publication in a portfolio edited by our partner Nat Images. He/She also authorizes the use of his/her image(s) to promote the Photo Competition and/or the Festival on the web, in the press and in the publications produced by the Festival, for a maxi-mum duration of 3 years.
