The "Bird of Glory and Praise" photo contest invites photographers to visit artist Sheila Berger's monument-sized sculpture, AVIS GLORIAE ET LAUDIS, in New York City's Riverside Park. Use the weather, the beauty of the park, people, camera power, and your imagination. There is only one subject in this contest, but there should be unlimited viewpoints. Accepted submissions will be judged by a panel of three experts. Up to ten finalists will receive $50 each, and a grand prize of $500 will go to the one photo judged best. Winning photos will be featured in a book about the project.
Prizes:
Up to ten finalists will receive $50 each.
One grand prize winner will receive $500. All winning photos will appear in a book about the making of the sculpture.
Eligibility:
Anyone from any country, professional, student or amateur, of any age, is invited to enter.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
Winning photos' first printed publication rights become the property of the Avis Gloriae project. Winning photos will be included in a book about the project and all published photos will be credited to the creators.
Photographers retain copyright to their works. Contest organizers hold copyright to the planned book about the sculpture.
Submission of entry constitutes agreement to these conditions by photographer.
