Chania International Photo Festival 2018
Our goal is to exhibit up to 350 photographers.
- Deadline: 20 May 2018
- Entry fee: Free
- Website: http://www.cipfestival.com

Chania International Photo festival has been created by Blank Wall Gallery. Its aim is to gather 350 photographers from around the world each year, turning the town of Chania into an international centre of artistic expression focusing on photography. At the same time, we aspire to make this festival the biggest photographic event, since this will be the first time that so many international artists will be exhibiting their work in Greece.
In our effort the Municipality of Chania responded favorably as a co organizer offering the venues for the festival to be held.
Artists can take part in one of our 16 Categories
The festival will take place the summer of 2018 at the Center of the Mediterranean Architecture (CAM) in a building dating back from 1595, at the Old Harbor of Chania.
The building is known as the Grand Arsenali and was the biggest shipyard located in the Venetian port of Chania. During its lifetime it has hosted many Public Services of the Town of Chania. In 1997 started its renovation, which turned the building into one of the most important cultural centers in Crete. Some of the biggest events, which take place in Chania, are hosted in its premises.
It is easily accessible and visited by thousands of people daily.
Each photographer is entitled to a single submission to which he may submit from one to five photographs.
You can submit all your photographs in one category or up to 5 categories (one photograph in each), or in any other combination you wish.
Each participation can be distinguished in up to 2 categories.
Each photographer has the right to make only one submission. In case there are more than one submissions from the same photographer all of them will be immediately disqualified.
