Supporting photographers in the development and production of their projects. This is the aim of Cortona On The Move, the international photography festival which, from March 28 to May 16, accepts applications for the Cortona On The Move Award open call.

At its first edition, in partnership with LensCulture and in collaboration with the Cortona Wine Consortium, the award is part of the constant search for original and innovative narratives that has always characterized Cortona On The Move. The open call is open-topic, free of charge, and welcomes ongoing or unpublished projects. with the most varied photographic approaches to contemporaneity, based on new perspectives and new visions.

The submissions can be sent to this link and will be reviewed by a jury of experts in the field: Jim Casper, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of LensCulture; Veronica Nicolardi, Director of Cortona On The Move; Laura Sackett, Creative Director of LensCulture; and Paolo Woods, Artistic Director of Cortona On The Move.

"Cortona On The Move is not just an international festival dedicated to photography, but a true laboratory that welcomes photographers and is committed to providing them with tools, possibilities and opportunities to develop their projects". - explains Veronica Nicolardi, Director of Cortona On The Move.

The ten finalists work will be screened during the opening of Cortona On The Move 2022. Among them, the author of the first prize-winning work will receive a financial award of €5,000 and will be exhibited during the 2023 edition of the festival, while two other artists selected by the jury will have their work published on the LensCulture website.

Prizes:

Finalist projects will be announced and published on the Cortona On The Move and LensCulture websites on June 30, 2022 and will be screened in Cortona during the opening days of the festival.

Among them:
● 1 project will receive a €5,000 prize and will have the opportunity to be exhibited at the next edition of Cortona On The Move
● 2 projects will be published on the LensCulture website during 2022.

The 3 selected works will be announced and published on the websites and social channels of Cortona On The Move and LensCulture on June 30, 2022.
