Close-up Photographer of the Year (CUPOTY) is a celebration of close-up, macro and micro photography – an annual competition created to showcase images that help us see the world anew.
But its scope is far greater than that.
Its ultimate aim is to encourage you to slow down, enjoy the craft of photography, and to make connections with others who are equally passionate about the world up close.
Prizes:
A prize fund worth over £4,000 is shared between the overall winner and six category winners.
Grand Prize
£1,000 + Prizes
The overall winner of the competition will be named Close-up Photographer of the Year and win £2,500 worth of prizes.
The prize fund includes £1,000, a SIGMA 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO Art lens and a SIGMA sd Quattro camera in addition to the £300 prize for winning a category.
Eligibility:
All images entered in the Competition must be close-up, macro or taken with a microscope.

You retain the copyright and intellectual property rights of the picture. By entering the competition, you allow CUPOTY to use the picture to help publicise and promote the competition.
