Cinema, motion pictures, movies…. the art of the moving image,
a visual medium that can tell stories, expose reality, or reveal fantasy.

A complex artistic expression, can the effect, mood or theme of cinematic expression be captured in stills? We think so.

Artists understand the camera’s potential to record actions and tell stories. We invite you to submit photos that do so in cinematic style. Show us what unique expressive elements of cinema can be translated through a still camera lens?

Noir, suspense, Hollywood glamour, drama, comedy – all genres are fair game.

Or, feel free to recreate your favorite scene or moment from your favorite film!

Entering The Contest & Submission Requirements

Enter your submissions via the entry form in this post

Register by entering your First and Last Name, Email Address and Twitter Handle (if applicable)

**Upload Image (Image format should be a high resolution JPEG at 150 DPI or higher, please make sure your file size is 5mb or larger.

1st place winner and runners-up will be contacted for high res files for printing if necessary)

Submit your entry

Once the registration process has been completed, you will be directed to a page confirming your entry.

**Only one image can be submitted per artist. If more than one image is submitted you will be disqualified.**

Contest Dates and Deadlines

The Duggal Photo Contest begins October 1st, 2015 at 12:01 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends November 30th, 2015 at 11:59 pm EST.

Professionals, amateurs, students…anyone! (Except employees of Duggal or Digital Photo Pro)

Entry Fees

There is no cost to enter!

Judging

Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness by a panel of Duggal associates well-versed in photography as well as our esteemed Founder, Mr. Baldev Duggal. Winners will be announced by December 31, 2015.

Consent Agreement

Submission of an entry to the contest automatically constitutes the contestant’s acceptance of all conditions set forth in the above rules. By submitting images you grant Duggal the right to use the entry in exhibitions and promotions in print and online, (including, but not limited to contest and seasonal promotions), as well as the right to resize images for these purposes. Duggal will not exploit your image for any form of direct compensation.

Photo credit will always be included (as it was submitted – © First Name, Last Name) and you will retain full copyright of the reconstructed, original image submitted.

You also grant Duggal permission to put you on our e-mail list to receive our weekly blog updates (you can opt out at anytime).

Entries not complying with the rules set forth above will be disqualified.
