Future of Energy Professional Photo Contest

$1,500 upfront and $3,500 upon completion

The photo contest will be an interactive element of the Future of Energy conference, with the selected photos used as venue decor and for future FMO promotional activities.
FMO will commission 4 photographers based on their submitted project proposals, one from each of the sub-regions where FMO is active in: Latin America and the Caribbean, East and Southern Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, and North Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
Each selected photographer will then take the photographs as described in their project proposals.

Prizes:

Each selected photographer will take the photographs as described in their project proposals and receive an initial amount of $5,000 per assignment. The funds will be paid $1,500 upfront and $3,500 upon completion and evaluation of their projects.

Eligibility:

the Professional Photo contest is only open for professional photographers that can submit a recent document date that verifies their professional status, based in FMO’s country of operations and other emerging markets (see full country list on website).

Copyrights & Usage Rights:

Photographers retain copyright of their work. For commissioned photographs in the professional contest, copyright holders grant FMO a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of commissioned and nominated photographs for any purpose, including, but not limited to, the competition and exhibition and for future reproduction in all media, including social media, online and print, and other promotional and educational activities under the auspices of FMO, without any remuneration being due.

Copyright holders grant Solarplaza a license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of commissioned and nominated photographs only for promotional purposes limited to the conference and its exhibition.
The copyright holders represent and warrant that submission of the pictures does not breach any law, and further that no third party can hold any claims or any objections regarding the rights granted to FMO specified in this section. The copyright holders will hold FMO harmless of any claims from third parties related hereto. FMO agrees to mention the full name of the photographers when using their work in the FoE Conference, or in other related materials.
