Getxophoto Open Call 2021

An opportunity for visual artists and photographers

Getxophoto’s Open Call provides an opportunity for visual artists and photographers to exhibit their work in the Festival’s next edition, in September 2021. To Share will be the theme of Getxophoto’s 15th anniversary, aiming to create and use non-conventional installations in physical and digital spaces.

The Festival invite artists from all over the world to participate in this call with proposals that use photography, video, installation, performance, actions, digital art or any other means of visual expression.

The international jury made up of Cristina de Middel –photographer of Magnum–, Mariama Attah –curator of the Open Eye Gallery Photography Museum (Liverpool) –, Jon Uriarte –digital curator of Photographers’ Gallery– and Gwen Lee –director and co-founder of the Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF)– will select 3 projects that will be part of the artistic programme in the next edition of the Festival.

GETXOPHOTO International Image Festival takes place in Getxo (Basque Country, Spain) and brings different proposals from photographers and visual storytellers from all over the world to the city, setting a contemporary conversation about the theme proposed each year.
