This year’s entry dates are March 23 through April 13, with the awards ceremony on May 19th.
The Heard Nature Photographers Club administers the contest and has for over 40 years. All of the proceeds go directly to the museum for operating expenses or special projects. Best of Show in each Division takes home a $100 prize!
The contest is all digital. It’s easy to enter using a simple web form. This year’s categories:
o Animals
o Feathered Friends
o Floral
o Scenic
• Intermediate Adults
Prizes:
Best of show in each of the 5 divisions wins $100.
Overall of show has the images printed and hung in the permanent exhibit at the museum.
Eligibility:
All adult and youth. Images created by AI are ineligible, as are images sold for monetary gain.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
You must own the copyright to any images you submit. Post processing may include color and exposure correction, burning and dodging, removal of small distracting items like bright objects at the edge of the frame, or extending the canvas to correct the composition. Other than those entered in Expressive Impressions, removing large objects or changing the subject of the composition is disallowed. Any images with visible identification will be disqualified and will not be judged.
