International Boardgame Photography Award Award 2025

The XVII International Boardgame Photography Award Award 2025 is being organised by the cultural association Jugamos Tod@s as part of the activities of the International Games Festival of Cordoba, and partially patrocined by Idealúdica and by dracotienda.com.

The theme of the photographs is games or the act of playing in any of its manifestations, especially and specifically boardgames. The photos may show any aspect of recreational activity with games of any kind, people playing, games of the world, modern or classic boardgames, details of game components, set-ups and generally any display of games or playing.

Valuation
The jury will select the finalist photos according to the quality, expressiveness and recreational significance of the images and their relationship with games in a recognizable form, specially with boardgames.

Photographs must be completely original. They may have been published particularly on the Internet so dated after January 1, 2024.

Technique
All, including digital photography, montage photography, in black and white or color.

Presentation
The maximum number of photos per person is 5.

The photographs may be entered by e-mail.

- The file name must be the photo title.

- Body text: Contact info and any other relevant info.
- Each e-mail must only have one photograph attached (Standard image formats: JPG, TIF, BMP, GIF, etc..). Minimum resolution 300 dpi, 1024x768 pixels minimum, and a maximum size of 10 MB.

Each photograph must be accompanied by the following information:
- The title of the photo. Remember: The file name must be the photo title.
- Some words about the image.
- Contact info: Address & Country - Telephone number - e-mail address.

Judging
A first phase of selection will be carried out by the competition organisers (cultural association Juamos Tod@s). The finalists’ photos, a minimum of 10, will form part of an exhibition or virtual exhibition in the International Game Festival Cordoba 2025. The photos will then be judged by a judging panel consisting of people from Jugamos Tod@s, persons and representatives sponsoring the International Game Festival Cordoba 2025, guest international board game designers and other persons of special significance; and their judgement is final. The persons making up the definitive judging panel will be published along with their final decision.

Exhibition
The photographs selected from the participants will remain exhibited during the International Games Festival Cordoba 2025, and/or in a virtual exhibition on the Festival website.
