Professionals, photo-amateurs and voluntary associations are invited to participate in the 6th edition of the "Objective Solidarity" competition, whose main purpose is to capture through images the sense of the values enclosed around solidarity, hospitality, social inclusion.
The 2020 Edition will also aim to photographically represent solidarity at the time of COVID-19: is it a feeling that we rediscovered because of the pandemic? Have our lives changed in the need for volunteering in private, public, community areas? Have we once again recognized the need for others? How did the support we gave or received manifest?
Tell us yours.
The first three classified photographs will receive a cash prize - € 1,500, € 800 and € 400 respectively, and the "Photo with the Best Message of Solidarity", an absolute category prize closely linked to the mission of Mercies, will be awarded with the 750th Anniversary Mercy of Siena medal.
For the edition of the "Objective Solidarity" 2020 competition, which will take place in a year marked by the emergency COVID-19, an additional prize is foreseen for the work that best expresses "Solidarity at the time of the pandemic", to which a voucher of € 200 will be assigned to be used to purchase Libera Terra products.
The "Best Photographic Project" (composed of 6 photos) and the "Best Artistic Expression" (both single photos and projects up to 6 photos) will receive a Special Mention from the Jury.
The prizes will be delivered during the award ceremony that will take place on September 19, 2020 at 5.00 pm at the headquarters of the Misericordia of Siena, during the Feast of Brotherhood.
