The 2020 edition of the PHOTO IS LIGHT World Photography Contest receives submissions in its website until February 2021. Worldwide photographers can submit their images to compete for prizes up to $ 3,500 in cash.
The best images of each of 6 contest categories (Landscape, Nature, Architecture, People, Photojournalism and Fine Art) receive the 1ST PLACE + US$ 500 prize + digital certificate. One of these six highest-rated images receives the competition's top award and prize: ILLUMINATED PHOTOGRAPHER PHOTO IS LIGHT 2020 + US$ 500 prize + digital certificate.
Images with the second, third and fourth to tenth highest scores in each category receive, respectively, the 2ND PLACE, 3RD PLACE and TOP 10 awards, plus the digital certificate.
These 60 award-winning images will be posted on the PHOTO IS LIGHT website for at least one year after the winners announcement in March 2021, in addition to social media.
The jury is formed by professionals from different parts of the world with deep knowledge of photography.

Prizes:
The highest score awarded by the judges receives the Illuminated Photographer Award + cash prize of US$ 500, plus the category award.
The image with the highest score in each of the 6 categories receives the 1st Place Award + cash prize of US$ 500.
The images with the second and third highest scores in each of the 6 categories receive, respectively, the 2nd Place and 3rd Place Awards.
Images with the fourth to tenth highest scores in each category receive the Top 10 Awards.
The 60 (sixty) images mentioned above receive a digital Certificate.
Eligibility:
All photographers - professionals, amateurs and students - of any age, from anywhere in the world, may participate of PHOTO IS LIGHT contest. Photographers under the age of 16 must have the consent of their parents or legal guardian to participate. Circumphoto officials and directors, judges of this edition, as well as their families are not eligible to participate in the contest.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
Copyright of the images remains at all times with the photographer.
By entering the competition, the photographer certifies that he/she is the sole owner and author of the images.
By entering the images, the photographer certifies and ensures that they do not infringe the copyright, trademarks, contract rights or any other intellectual property rights of third parties, and also does not violate any person's privacy or publicity rights.
By entering people images, the photographer states that each of them has given permission to be portrayed as shown. Likewise, that has all the permissions of places, objects and other themes.
The photographer is liable and agrees to fully indemnify PHOTO IS LIGHT from any judicial proceeding or out-of-court settlement in respect of all royalties, fees and any other amounts owed to any person by his/her violation of any item above.
By registering the images, the photographer grants PHOTO IS LIGHT a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish and display entered images in all worldwide media - such as the contest website, social media, press, e-mail and digital marketing - required to be used in the context of this photo contest, duly credited, while the contest site and/or Circumphoto is active. The license extends for eventual book publication with the winners and selected images of this contest edition. In this case, the photographer will be asked to send a high resolution image.
Images are not resold as well as they are not distributed to third parties. Only photographers and judges have access to them. However, when entering the images, the photographer acknowledges that he/she has the responsibility to protect them against misuse by third parties.
