Within the framework of the "Photographic Weekend" organized by the City of Castell-Platja d'Aro and the Photographic Association "Educating the Eye" the Library Mercè Rodoreda of Platja d'Aro this photo contest to stimulate and reward economically photographic projects of national and international authors who are able to surprise, excite and move its own view of the world around them.

The competition is international and participation is free. The theme is free, as well as the technique used. The only requirement is that the images must have been taken with a photographic device or camera. Alls sorts of manipulation and hybridization are allowed.

The contest is aimed at photographers, professional or not, individual or collective. Each participant can send a maximum of two projects. Components of the organization of the Photographic Weekend or employees of the city council of Platja d'Aro are not entitled for participation.

How to participate?

Participants submit a project consisting of 6-12 photographic images together with a dossier with background information on the author and the project. A maximum of 2 projects are allowed per participant.

Legal deductions will apply to these amounts apply legal deductions. The winner and runner- ups must provide their email address and bank details (with IBAN / BIC if it is outside Spain) to receive the prize amount by bank transfer.

Eligibility:

A jury consisting of a representative of the City Council, two professionals in the world of photography and a Secretary will select the winner and the two runner-ups from the finalists of the competition.

Copyrights & Usage Rights:

The authors give exclusive rights to the organization for the the publication and dissemination of winning, runner-up and finalist images, as well as for promotional use of the photographic
weekend “Jornades Fotogràfiques Platja d’Aro” and the competition in future editions. The winner and runners-finalists accept the free reproduction of their images in mass and industry media with the aim of promoting the results of the awards and the contest.
