After a stormingly successful year, the world’s leading awards for food photography and film, Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, are now open for 2020 entries!
With more entries than ever before and from 77 countries in the last year, Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year shines a light on the very best photography and film shorts showing food in its every setting in cultures across the world. Stunning shots of cooking, harvesting, farming, eating, celebrating and sometimes just surviving – these pictures and films tell stories that move, delight, inform and entertain.
This year’s global judging panel, chaired by legendary food photographer David Loftus, includes new names such as Chris Dee, Food and Home Director, Harrods, Orlando Murrin, President, Guild of Food Writers, Anthea Loucas Bosha, CEO, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and Joshua Lustig, Deputy Picture Editor, Financial Times Weekend Magazine.

Finalist images will be exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London in April 2020.
Finalist images may be offered commercial opportunities in the form of an online gallery with images being made available for sale. Images may also be published in an exhibition catalogue, promotional material and on the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year website.

YOU can win £5,000GBP and the title of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2020. Judges include Emily Luchetti, Chair Emeritus of the James Beard Foundation and internationally-renowned food photographer David Loftus.

You will be invited to attend the glittering VIP Awards evening at the world renowned Mall Galleries, London SW1 along with leading figures from the world of photography, retail, food/photography and national press
You will be provided with 2 nights' accommodation in London (hotel to be confirmed.)
You will be re-imbursed up to the maximum value of £750 GBP for the cost of your return flight (economy class) to London travel to attend the Awards Evening Reception. The value of your flights costs will be re-imbursed after the Awards evening. There is no cash alternative, the prize is non-transferable and receipts must be provided.
You will have the opportunity to see your work displayed in the Mall Galleries, London SW1 in the spring of 2020 in an open-to-the-public exhibition giving your work free high profile exposure. This is intended to help publicise your creativity, and encourage and inspire others to develop their skills in food photography for the following year.
Your image will be appreciated by some of the leading figures in the photography and food industries during the judging process
A dedicated page will be added to our website showing an in depth profile of the overall winner featuring the winning image
You will receive a dedicated press release promoting your image to international photography and food media
Your hard work and creativity will be credited wherever the image is used and will be seen by millions of people across the globe
Category winners:
All category winners will receive a prestigious trophy.
The winner of Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, will win £1000GBP and an Errazuriz Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve Commemorative Magnum (150cl), signed by Eduardo Chadwick.
The winner of the Pink Lady® Apple a Day category will win £1000GBP and the winning image will be used by Pink Lady® in its UK multi media marketing campaign.
The winner of the Production Paradise Food off the Press category will win a special feature in the Production Paradise Spotlight Food & Drink Photography online magazine, along with a 12-image gallery of their work.
The winner of One Vision Imaging Cream of the Crop, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year will win £300GBP for use against One Vision Imaging services
The winner of the Fujifilm Award for Innovation will receive the following:
6-month relationship with Fujifilm to be taken within 12 months of the awards
Free loan of Fujifilm X-series products during the relationship
Fujifilm will support the photographer by promoting them on their Social Media channels (subject to the work being shot on Fujifilm products)
Fujifilm will support the photographer with up to 10 exhibition quality prints, to be printed by a laboratory of Fujifilm’s choice
May be commissioned to present on behalf of Fujifilm at retailer events, experience days or trade shows (subject to the work being shot on Fujifilm products)
The winner of the Student Food Photographer of the Year category will have the unique opportunity to have a 90 minute one-to-one (preferably in person, otherwise by Skype) with Commercial Photography Consultant and Mentor, Zoe Whishaw. This will include:

Website review
Analysis of creative direction
Options and ideas to take career forwards

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year is open to professional and amateur photographers from anywhere in the world.

Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and the entrant must have complete copyright for this work. Previously published images may be submitted to any category however where linked to a third party, rights must have been sought and written permission received for use. Images submitted to the Food Off the Press category must have been previously published and rights must have been sought and written permission received for use and made available on request.
