The Viviane Esders Endowment Fund is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for the third edition of the Prix Viviane Esders. If you are a European photographer over 60 years old, if you wish to highlight a singular artistic and photographic career developed over several decades.
The Prix Viviane Esders aims to highlight the vision and itinerary of a life, that of photographers, authors whose medium has tirelessly animated Viviane Esders’ career since the 1980s. This prize reflects the coming together of two complementary and inseparable life paths, that of its founder, dedicated to understanding, loving and exhibiting photographers, and that of a photographer, dedicated to creation in the hope of creating a work of art.
Prizes:
The jury will meet in June 2024 to select the three nominated photographers who will be announced in June. The winning photographer will be announced in October and receive his/her prize in November during Paris Photo. The three nominated photographers who have caught the attention of the jury will have the opportunity, for several months, to be highlighted and to see their work in the spotlight.
Eligibility:
The prize is awarded annually to a professional European photographer over 60 years old, who is independent and still active.

The organiser of the Prix Viviane Esders undertakes not to use the photographs of the non-pre-selected candidates in any way whatsoever.
