Scotland's Photo of the Year is a brand new annual photography competition to celebrate and showcase the beauty and diversity of Scotland. Whether you have photos of Scotland's landscapes, wildlife, architecture or culture, all images are welcome. A panel of 3 professional judges will select the top ten photos from all genres and these will then be showcased on the competition website for a week of public voting to decide the overall winner. There are over £4,000 worth of prizes, with all finalists receiving cash prizes. All profits generated from the competition go directly to local Scottish charities.
Prizes:
First prize = £2,000 cash, £500 equipment voucher from Ffordes Photographic, and £300 of Kase filters.
Second prize = £500 cash, Olympus Tough TG-6 camera, and £100 equipment voucher from Ffordes Photographic.
Third prize = £200 cash and £100 equipment voucher from Ffordes Photographic.
4th-10th places = £50 cash.
There's also a Judge's Choice prize of £250 plus £150 worth of memory cards.
Eligibility:
Open to all ages and to anyone in the world. The only restriction is that all photos must be of Scotland.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
The photographer retains all copyright and ownership of any entered photos. The competition simply requests that all entries can be used for promotional use of the competition. No entries will be used for any other purpose without permission from the owner.
