The Independent Photographer is a new monthly photography award and community that has just launched online.
As a special launching campaign we offer our first monthly competition with the theme: ‘PEOPLE’ and submissions are FREE.
Photographers have until November 30th to submit their images. The winner will be rewarded with a cash prize of $1000 & global exposure.
The Independent Photographer is a global community dedicated to sharing and bringing exposure to the work of photographers.
We offer a monthly competition open to all photographers. We invite both amateur and established artists to share their work in order to promote the very best contemporary photography from all cultures around the world.
Each month winners and finalists are rewarded with prizes and exposure. At the end of the year, images are printed and published in The Independent Photographer book of the year, and the winners are presented in our annual exhibition in Berlin.

Eligibility:
The Competition is open only to those who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. The Competition is open to legal residents from all over the world, and is void where prohibited by their local law. Employees of The Independent Photographer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Competition. The Competition is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
Photographers retain all copyright on their images and the competition entries are judged anonymously.
You hereby grant that when you give THE INDEPENDENT PHOTOGRAPHER content, you are giving us a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub licensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise any and all copyright, trademark, publicity, and database rights (but no other rights) you have in the content, in any media existing now or in the future, for three years following the date of submission.
