Within the framework of the "Photographic Weekend Platja d'Aro" organized by the Photographic Association Educating the Eye, the Library Mercè Rodoreda announces a photo contest to stimulate and reward economically photographic projects of national and international authors who are able to surprise, excite and move with their vision of the world around them.
The contest is international and its participation is free.
Professional or amateur photographers, individuals or groups. Each participant can send a maximum of two projects. Components of the organization of the Photographic Weekend are not eligible
The theme is free, as well as the technique used. The only requirement is that the images must have been taken with a photographic camera or a device with camera; all sorts of manipulation and hybridization are allowed.
Prizes:
• First Prize 2.000 €
• Prize young talent (under 35yrs) 1.000 €
• Second Prize 1.000 €
• 2 Runner-ups 500 € each
Eligibility:
A jury consisting of a representative of the City Council, two professionals in the world of photography and a Secretary will select the winner and the two runner-ups from the finalists of the competition.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
The authors declare to be the owners of the rights to the images and are responsible for possible claims by third parties.
The authors give exclusive rights to the organization for the the publication and dissemination of winning, runner-up and finalist images, as well as for promotional use of the photographic weekend “Jornades Fotogràfiques Platja d’Aro” and the competition in future editions. The winner and runners-finalists accept the free reproduction of their images in mass and industry media with the aim of promoting the results of the awards and the contest.
Participation in this competition implies acceptance of these rules. The organization reserves the right to resolve as deemed appropriate any situation not covered in the rules.
